About Us

Strathroy-Caradoc is a vibrant, growing community located in the heart of southwestern Ontario, 40 kilometres west of London.  The municipality is home to a diverse commercial and industrial base, contributing to a competitive region that supports a high standard of living. The community offers urban conveniences, while maintaining the flavour and charm of small-town life.

The Municipality was formed in 2001 from an amalgamation of the Town of Strathroy and the Township of Caradoc. About 20,000 residents call this community their home and enjoy the exceptional quality of life it has to offer.

As the largest municipality in the County of Middlesex, Strathroy-Caradoc benefits from its strategic location. It offers direct access to rail and highway networks with nearby links to air and water transport, all of which allow for the easy flow of goods and people to North American and world markets. Local companies and industries can reach over 120 million consumers within one day's shipping time.

Council and staff are dedicated to enhancing this competitive position while managing the growth of the community.
